Rainy Day
20. April 2008 by ilanamong.
Yesterday it was a rainy day and we were trying to go out to dinner. My mom forgot to pack everyone sweatshirts, but I found one for myself and my parents both had jackets. My brother Alex only had a long sleeve shirt and no hood. It was pouring. We got lost and couldn’t find the restaurant we were going to for dinner. My dad led us into a subway station. There were people selling umbrella’s so we bought one for Alex. He complained at first because it was a pinkish color, but he was happy to have something over his head. We ended up at a sea food restaurant were they didn’t speak any English. My parents pointed to what we wanted. We ended up with four shrimps and a plate of duck. The shrimp had eyes on them and I got grossed out so my mom tore the the heads off. When we got home we were happy to be out of the rain. Our whole family was wide awake until about 3:00 am.

I’ve arrived
19. April 2008 by admin.
I’ve arrived in China. On the plane trip we passed the North Pole and it was all cracked ice and it looked really cool. It took us nineteen hours to get here. We had five meals and snacks on the plane, yuck I hate airplane meals like frozen noodles. Now we’re here and our hotel is sweet. The city looks exactly the same as in Philidelphia. It has construction work, many buildings and many people. Our hotel has an indoor pool and many stores inside it. I have to go eat breakfast now and I’m starving for a good breakfast (Or dinner, that’s what time it would be in Havertown). It is 7:00 in the morning right now. It is a twelve hour difference between China and Pennsylvania.
